This Weekend in Kitsap: March 14–16, 2026

It's Pi Day weekend (3.14 — get it?) and Kitsap has a full plate. From Bremerton's early St. Patrick's Day parade to a compelling play on Bainbridge Island, here's what's worth your time this Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, March 14

Bremerton Saint Patrick's Day Parade

All day | Downtown Bremerton | Pacific Avenue

Bremerton goes green a few days early with its annual St. Patrick's Day parade down Pacific Avenue in downtown Bremerton. A genuine community tradition — expect Irish music, local organizations, marching groups, and the festive energy that makes Bremerton's downtown scene worth showing up for.

Free to watch. Get there early for a good spot along the route.

Tethered: Artist Talk with Aimee Lee

3:00–5:00 PM | Bainbridge Island Museum of Art | 550 Winslow Way E

Artist Aimee Lee explores Korean hanji paper traditions — the centuries-old practice of making paper from mulberry bark — and how she weaves heritage, identity, and contemporary art practice together in her work.

If you have any interest in craft traditions, material culture, or what it looks like when an artist takes a deep connection to heritage and makes it contemporary, this talk is worth the afternoon.

Free admission to the talk.

inD Theatre: Circle Mirror Transformation

7:00 PM | Rolling Bay Hall, Bainbridge Island

Annie Baker's Obie Award-winning play gets a rare and deeply personal local production: mother and daughter Amy Jo LaRubbio and Zoe LaRubbio share the stage as Marty and Lauren, characters in a small-town acting class who find themselves unexpectedly transformed by the exercises they perform together.

Baker is one of the most important American playwrights working today. If you haven't seen her work, Circle Mirror Transformation is a perfect entry point — quiet, precise, and devastating in the best way. This production runs through Sunday.

Second Saturday: The Moon, Earth's Wondrous Companion

7:00 PM | Bainbridge Island

A timely lunar celebration: this month's Second Saturday event covers all things moon — phases, tides, the history of the space race, and a look ahead to the planned Artemis II launch. Good for curious adults and scientifically-inclined families.

Free event.

Admiral Theatre

Doors 7:00 PM | Show 8:00 PM | 515 Pacific Ave, Bremerton

The Admiral has a show Saturday night — check admiraltheatre.org for current programming and tickets. The Admiral is one of Kitsap's best live entertainment venues, and a show there is always worth making a night of it downtown Bremerton.

Sunday, March 15

inD Theatre: Circle Mirror Transformation — Matinee

3:00–5:00 PM | Rolling Bay Hall, Bainbridge Island

If you missed Saturday night's performance, Sunday afternoon is your second chance. Same play, same cast, same intimate Rolling Bay Hall setting.

Great Decisions: The Future of Human Rights & International Law

2:00–3:30 PM | Bainbridge Public Library | 1270 Madison Ave N

The Bainbridge Public Library's 2026 Great Decisions series continues with a discussion on the future of human rights and international law — part of the Foreign Policy Association's national Great Decisions program. These discussions draw thoughtful participants and run substantively.

Free, no registration required.

Music Bingo (Mingo)

6:00–8:00 PM | Bainbridge Island

Music Bingo (locally branded as "Mingo") is exactly what it sounds like: short song clips play, you mark them on a bingo card, first to complete a line wins. It's more fun than it sounds — especially in a local bar setting where the crowd's collective music knowledge becomes part of the entertainment.

A good Sunday evening option if you're not ready for the week to start yet.

Looking Ahead: Week of March 16

St. Patrick's Day (Tuesday, March 17): Head to The Sip on Bainbridge Island for live music and happy hour starting at 4pm. Battle Point Observatory also hosts its free monthly Cosmic Conversation at 7pm (register in advance) — this month on stellar life cycles.

Bainbridge Public Library: A community poetry reading class continues Tuesday, 4–5pm. Ongoing through March.

While You're Out This Weekend

A few Kitsap spots worth knowing:

Coffee: Mora Iced Creamery on Bainbridge if you're making a day of the island. Proper coffee and their ice cream is as good as advertised.

Lunch before the parade: Manette has good options if you're heading to Bremerton. The neighborhood on the east side of the bridge has developed into a genuine local food scene over the past few years.

Spring prep: With temperatures climbing, this weekend is a good time to assess your yard situation before spring landscaping season fully arrives. If you're in the market for bulk soil, mulch, or gravel, Harbor Soils serves Kitsap County and Gig Harbor with same-day delivery and no minimums.
