Best Bars on Bainbridge Island, WA
Bainbridge Island's bar scene is intimate, quality-focused, and shaped by the island's mix of Seattle commuters, longtime locals, and wine-country sensibility. Here's where to drink on Bainbridge.
Wine & Cocktails
Eagle Harbor Wine Co. The best bar on Bainbridge Island for wine. Small production, well-curated Pacific Northwest selections, knowledgeable pours. Located in Winslow, no reservation required. A genuine wine bar — not just a restaurant with a wine list.
Café Nola Bar The bar area at Café Nola is worth knowing separately from the restaurant. Good cocktails, Pacific Northwest spirits, and a warm atmosphere. The after-dinner crowd can make it lively on weekends.
Bainbridge Organic Distillers A tasting room for locally produced whiskey and gin. Not a bar in the traditional sense, but worth stopping in for a flight if you're interested in Pacific Northwest spirits. Knowledgeable staff, quality products.
Waterfront & Pub
The Harbour Public House A historic waterfront pub in a building that's been serving drinks since the 1800s. Eagle Harbor views, good beer selection, solid pub food. One of the most atmospheric bars in Kitsap County — the building alone is worth the visit. Gets busy on summer weekends; arrive early.
Slippery Pig Brewery A Poulsbo brewery with island distribution and occasional pop-up events on Bainbridge. Check their calendar for tap takeovers and special events at island venues.
Wineries (Tasting Rooms as Bars)
Bainbridge Vineyards The tasting room at Bainbridge Vineyards functions as one of the island's best drinking destinations. Pinot Gris and Müller-Thurgau grown on-island, poured in a comfortable farm setting. Open Thursday–Sunday. One of the more unique drinking experiences in all of Puget Sound — an estate vineyard this close to Seattle is genuinely rare.
Tips
From Seattle: Walk on the Bainbridge ferry from Coleman Dock, walk to the Harbour Public House (three blocks), then to Eagle Harbor Wine Co. A complete evening in under two hours and a 35-minute ferry ride.
Last ferry: Check Washington State Ferries schedule before you commit to a night out. Missing the last Bainbridge-to-Seattle ferry is a memorable mistake.
